FAQ

Every session is a little different based on each client's needs; we will shoot until we are happy with your images! On average, an update session lasts 30 minutes, and a Standard session lasts about 1 - 1 .5 hours.
I want you to be able to focus on being in the moment, not when that moment is going to run out!
-
I don’t require you to have professional hair and/or makeup for your shoot— that’s entirely up to you. I often suggest you come in as you would to an audition; you on your best day. I think the result of keeping things clean and natural, as close to your everyday as possible, is always the best option. However, it can definitely help you feel your best to know that someone is there looking out for those small details, and allow you to focus on being present. If you are interested in hiring a MUA, I can recommend someone to you!

The day before your session, make sure you get a full night of sleep, hydrate, and moisturize. A bit of moisturizer and some chapstick goes a long way, especially in the dry winter months.
Aside from the physical prep, make sure you think about your goals for your new headshots. As an actor, your headshot is your first introduction, so it’s important you know what you want it to say. In your consultation, we’ll discuss the qualities that you’d like to showcase in your images, and come up with a plan to make sure your new headshots go the distance. Just come in ready to focus and bring those qualities to life!

You will receive a private gallery of your photos within 1 week of your session. From there you will be able to favorite, share, and download any/all of your photos and choose your favorites for retouching. I’ll also be able to give you a sneak peek during your session as we shoot! Once you’ve chosen your favorites for retouching, you will get the final files within 7-10 days.
-
Absolutely! When you receive your gallery, there will also be a separate folder with a handful of my favorites for your reference. Don’t feel obligated to choose from that list, it’s just for you to get an idea of what I look for in a headshot! If you want help making the final call on any photos, I’m happy to share my thoughts with you.
-
Yes! Additional retouches are $40 each and can be ordered directly through your gallery. Once I get your order, the final photos will be delivered to you within 7 days.

That depends— generally speaking, actors should update their headshots every 1-2 years or when you have that moment where you know something is different. (When you know, you know.) It doens't have to be a physical change-- maybe your career is going in a different direction and your current photos don't represent that. Guess what? Time to update.
If you’ve had any big changes in your appearance (cut or colored your hair, weight change, etc.) you may need to update your headshots more frequently. You want your headshots to look like you as you are right now.
